Terms of Use
Last updated: September 16, 2026
These terms describe the conditions for using Verble, our Portuguese-learning app and supporting website. "Verble", "we" and "us" refer to the provider of the app identified in its store listing. Contact us at benjaminpeterwatts@gmail.com.
Using Verble
Verble provides sentences, translations, grammar explanations, pronunciation playback and study tools for personal learning. Use the app lawfully and respect other people's rights. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms or authorise a purchase, obtain permission from your parent or guardian.
We grant you permission to use Verble for personal, non-commercial learning, subject to these terms and the applicable store rules. Do not redistribute or sell the app or its content, bypass subscription controls, or interfere with its operation. These restrictions do not limit uses permitted by law or licences that apply to third-party components.
Subscriptions and billing
Some features or content may require a subscription. The purchase screen and store confirmation show the included access, price, currency, billing period and any trial or introductory offer before you agree to buy. The terms shown for your selected plan govern that purchase; these terms do not promise a particular price or trial.
Payment is charged through your Apple or Google store account. An auto-renewing subscription continues for successive billing periods unless you cancel renewal. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends to avoid the next charge. Follow the cancellation deadline shown by your store for other purchases.
If an offer includes a free trial or discounted period, it changes to the disclosed paid price when the offer ends unless cancelled in time. Eligibility and any unused trial treatment are determined by the store and the offer. Price changes are handled through the store's notification and consent processes where applicable.
Cancellation and refunds
You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. For Google Play, open Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. See the official Apple cancellation instructions or Google Play instructions.
Deleting Verble does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal while access continues through the paid period; trial access may end earlier under the store's rules.
Refund requests are handled under the store's refund process and applicable law. For Apple purchases, visit Report a Problem. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play's refund help. You can also contact us for assistance. Nothing here removes any refund or other remedy to which you are legally entitled.
Restoring access
Use the app's "Restore purchases" option while signed into the store account used for the purchase. Restoration depends on a valid purchase and the store's rules; access is not automatically transferable between Apple and Google accounts. Restoring a purchase does not restore your local study preferences or navigation history.
Learning content and availability
Language use varies by context and region, and examples, translations, explanations or generated speech may contain mistakes. Verble is a learning aid and does not promise a particular level of fluency, exam result or professional translation accuracy. Please report errors through our support page.
We may correct content and update features. Some functions require a compatible device or internet connection, and availability may be interrupted. If a material change affects a paid service, we will provide notice and any remedy required by law. We do not exclude guarantees that the law requires us to provide.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local preferences, subscription processing, support messages and your data choices.
Store terms and consumer rights
For downloads from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement governs the app licence unless a different licence is specified in the store listing. These terms supplement that licence with Verble's service and subscription information. The relevant store's terms also apply to your purchases.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees and protections in your country of residence. We do not require you to give up those rights to use Verble.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and obtain agreement where required. Changes do not remove rights you already have for a purchase.
